Core Team

Leslie Tran, Coordinator
I’m Leslieee Trann, currently one of the coordinators, I guess you can call me, for By Thy Will, the Gioi Tre music ministry of Seattle. I joined Gioi Tre seattle the year I went to the Vietnamese Youth Convention in California, which was in June or July of 2009. I love music, so most of my spare time is spent playing piano or volunteering at various organizations that I’m currently involved in. I’m an amatuer in photography but I love to do it anyway! To most people, one word to describe me would probably be “uncoordinated” and if you get to know me, I think you’ll know why ;) I joined Gioi Tre because I love God, and it made me an even bigger JesusFreak than I already am, so if you want your world to be changed to have a more fun and inviting view of life, come get to know the Vietnamese Catholic Community :]Leslie Tran, Coordinator
Jennifer Truc-Ly Le, PR
Hey I’m Jennifer Truc-Ly Le, and I am the PR of GTS. I joined GTS this September, and recently joined the core team officially in November 2011. I was born and raised in Oregon, and moved up to Seattle to go to SU for college. I love getting involve with my school, community, and church anyway I can. Singing, dancing, and acting are my biggest stress relievers, and it makes me feel like I am myself the most. The feeling I get when I get to perform is indescribable. On my spare time I volunteer for different events and various organizations. One word that my friends would describe me as is”dedicated” because I do a bunch of things at once and overwhelmed myself with responsibility. I guess what I can say is that I have apassionate for helping others. I joined Gio Tre for this very reasonwas to help others get closer to God. My love for God has becomestronger over the years and what it means to be a Catholic. Even though I am new to the Vietnamese Catholic Community up here in Seattle I already feel at home with all the wonderful people around me. If you ever need me for anything I’m there! GTS is truly a greatfamily!Jennifer Truc-Ly Le, PR
Paul (Quân), Co-Chair
My name is Paul (Quân) and I’m a co-chair of the Gioi Tre Seattle ministry.  (That’s just a fancy title that means that I will be attending many of the GTS functions and activities.)   I was born and raised in Seattle, went to college in NY state, then came back here for the fresh air and warm, hike-friendly summers.   I really like to jam on my guitar, ballroom dance, and meet new friends.    I believe that it can be hard these days to stay true to being Vietnamese, Catholic, American, and all the while fitting in and balancing it all… but it can be done!   I strive to make Gioi Tre Seattle a place where we can meet long-term friends and give each an opportunity to build a personal faith, no matter how far along that spiritual road each of us might be.Paul (Quân), Co-Chair
Andrew Le, 16-19 Lifeteen Leader
Hi there! I’m Andrew Le and I’m one of the Andrews’ that’s going to be the 16 to 19 Lifeteen Leader. I’ve lived in Seattle all my life but I joined Gioi Tre Seattle just recently last summer, right after the 2011 camping trip. Being a part of GTS has allowed me to really expand my faith as well as meet so many awesome people! I’m always hoping to make new friends and build new connections. But aside from all of this, I’m a pretty active character. I’m a pretty good swimmer, a casual gamer, and I just love to have fun. If I describe myself in one word, I’d say that I’m “bouncy” just because I love to be all over the place. Anyways, I’ll be planning some fun stuff to do for 16 to 19 year olds once in a while. GTS is a great way to have fun and become involved, so if you’re new to us… Don’t be afraid! Come hang out with us!Andrew Le, 16-19 Lifeteen Leader
An Hoang Dao, After Mass Activites
I joined in October 2011 because I wanted to become more involed in the parish. As of this moment, I don’t have any free time at the moment but when I do have free time I am up for anything and everything. One word that describes me is: Random nothing else to know for now.An Hoang Dao, After Mass Activites
Teresa Trang Le, Public Relations
My name is Teresa Trang Le and I am the lead Public Relations for Gioi Tre Seattle. I joined Gioi Tre in 2011. Growing up Catholic, I knew that everything I have today is made possible because of God’s abundance love and I wanted to live my life serving Him. Being a part of Gioi Tre Seattle gave me that opportunity to work with my faith community to give thanks to our Heavenly Father for his unspeakable wonderful gift of life. I’m a big tomboy at heart and love to do everything my guy friends do except play sports. In my free time I like to collect Ca Dao và Tục Ngữ  and sappy love quotes, do scrapbooking, and listen to nhạc sến/vàng and nhạc tiền chiến.Teresa Trang Le, Public Relations

I have been active with GTS since VYC III in 2009. I love the energy, spirit and love our group has for our Catholic faith, so had to jump onto the bandwagon! During my free time I love to travel, try new food, go hiking, watch movies, take naps (they are the best) and try new things so let me know if you want a buddy to go rock climbing or sky diving with you. I’m game as long as you have a corny joke to tell :) Angela Linh-Uyen Bui,Youth Mass Coordinator :)
Mike Hung Vu,Gioi Tre Chair
I joined GTS shortly after moving up to Seattle in June 2010 from Southern California. I was involved with UVSA, Van Phong Gioi Tre and the Vui club founder in California, so love being a part of the GTS family here. I’m relatively new to the area but am liking the northwest. During my free time I like to sing karaoke, catch upw ith friends, play sports, find new corny jokes, work on my photography and relax. Join GTS and find out why I love it!Mike Hung Vu,Gioi Tre Chair
Phương-Trân,Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EM)
My name is Phương-Trân and I am the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EM) coordinator for GTS.  I joined GTS summer 2009 and have been actively involved with the mass and our annual summer camping trips.  Born and raised a Washingtonian, I currently attend SU and am studying the wonders of God’s creation in living systems.  In my free time I enjoy doodling, reading, and singing within the privacy of my room. (:  GTS has provided me an opportunity to share my love for God with other youth while staying active within the Vietnamese community.  Come by and say hi! (:
